WELCOME

From the Headteacher

Welcome to Allerton Grange’s website. I hope the information provided on our website gives you an insight into our ethos and values. We warmly welcome visitors to the school; there is a drop-in session every Thursday afternoon between 3.15 and 4.15pm when you can meet with a Senior Leader at the school.

Allerton Grange is a thriving, all ability, multi-cultural school with 1789 students, aged 11-18. We have increased our Year 7 intake to 300 and have waiting lists in every year group. We combine the benefits of a large school, with its many opportunities to study a wide range of subjects, with a friendly environment which is socially and culturally diverse. Despite our size, the expertise of our student care team ensures that each student is cared for as an individual. All staff work tirelessly to create the environment where our students are safe, secure and happy.

At Allerton Grange, the whole school community is committed to the principles of Aspire, Grow and Succeed.

Aspire – we want everyone at Allerton Grange to be the best they can be and therefore we set the very highest expectations for all members of our school, regardless of background or ability. We expect the highest standards of behaviour and attitude. We expect the highest standards of uniform and organisation. We expect the highest standards of teaching and learning and conduct from our staff.

Grow – at Allerton Grange we ensure that the opportunities are available for any stakeholder to improve and develop. We provide excellent teaching and an intervention programme to support students academically. We provide many student leadership opportunities, which allow students to grow as individuals. We invest heavily in developing our staff and ensuring each member of staff grows as a professional.

Succeed – our commitment to improvement delivers success. We celebrate success with students and staff. We are a rapidly improving school where the quality of teaching ensures that students make rapid progress above that expected nationally. Students are rewarded constantly for meeting the expectations the school sets.

I am proud to be Headteacher of Allerton Grange School. We are a good and rapidly improving school - this is demonstrated by our examination results.

My priorities as Headteacher of Allerton Grange School are to maintain this safe, calm and purposeful atmosphere and to ensure that the quality of teaching and learning is the best possible. As a result, our students will continue to demonstrate their ability to Aspire, Grow and Succeed.

"As a ‘new’ parent to the school, I have been left reassured and feel fully informed of her progress so a big thank you."
