Humanities at AGS

Humanities is a term that includes the study of a range of subjects including history, religion and philosophy, modern and ancient literature, and geography.

Other subjects such as performing arts, fine art, languages and law can also be linked to the humanities.

At Allerton Grange, you have the option to study A levels in Classical Civilisation, Geography, History and Religion, Philosophy and Ethics.

These are academically challenging subjects which give you the opportunity to explore the past and the world around them. You will be introduced to new concepts, differing viewpoints and source material and will use your skills to draw your own conclusions.

Studying one or more these subjects will give you a strong academic grounding and transferable skills to progress to further study at university or to start your career.
