    Students nominated by their Year Teams have met with Mr Norrington at Hot Chocolate Friday (or Cold Juice Friday during the Summer Term!). The Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher meets with students personally, in a joint meeting each Friday, to find out more about how they have succeeded in embracing our school values and going the extra mile. Allerton Grange has a policy for positive discipline which focuses on rewarding good behaviour. It is embedded into school life through stamps in planners, achievement points and reward assemblies.

  • Join Us for Our House - The Madness Musical

    Our school musical is always a highlight of the year, and we can't wait to share this year's show! We are delighted to be presenting 'Our House' - the Madness Musical on 6, 7 & 8 February 2024. Set in Camden Town, London, you'll be transported back in time to the 1980s with the music of Madness, and "It Must Be Love" written by Labi Siffre.   • A level Results Celebrations

    Congratulations to all Allerton Grange students receiving their A level exam results. It’s been a busy morning in school with students collecting their results and confirming their next steps. The majority of Year 13 students are continuing their studies at a range of universities including the University of Leeds, University of York, University of Bradford, University of Huddersfield, University of Manchester, University of Salford, University of Glasgow, Leeds Beckett University, Leeds Trinity University and York St John University. A number of students are moving on to apprenticeships, full-time employment or taking a gap year.

  • Getting Ready for A level Results Day

    In preparation for results day, the UCAS website has lots of useful information for students who have applied to university. Students should spend some time prior to results day looking at this information so they know what to expect when they receive their results. A level results day (ucas.com) Results Day - Thursday 17 August 2023 UCAS will be updating records for 8am on 17 August so students who have applied to university will be able to log on to their UCAS accounts from this point onwards to see whether their firm choice or insurance choice university has accepted them. Please do not worry though if you find you are still waiting for the university to make a decision (further information about this can be found on the UCAS website using the link below).

  • School Day from September 2023

    From September 2023, there will be changes to the timings of the School Day. Students will need to arrive by 8.25 am for Registration/Form Time to start at 8.30 am. The School Day will be amended, with the first lesson starting at 9.15 am. Dropping off your child: All drop offs should take place at the turning circle (accessible from the Lidgett Lane entrance).

  • Reading Cloud Launch

    We have started working with Reading Cloud, a library management system that includes an online student portal. From 17 April 2023, Year 7 and Year 8 students will receive their individual account details to be able to access the system. Within the online student portal you can: Access your personalised Library Account from any device Create a unique bio and avatar Search, reserve and renew books anytime Manage reading lists Rate books you have read Write and share book reviews. There will be lots of help and support for students to get set up and start using the online student portal.
