Tuition Programme

A key priority for Allerton Grange this year is to improve the way the school engages with parents.

One way we would like to bring this about is by inviting parents (or relatives and family friends) into school to work with our students for one-to-one tuition.

The idea is that some of our youngsters will receive tuition for one hour per week after school in Maths, English, Science, Humanities and Languages. In the first instance, it is likely that this will be with our youngest students (Year 7). The benefits for our students are obvious, and such support can often be life changing.

If you feel you could help (or know anyone else who could), you will be playing a crucial and very rewarding role in the work of the school, and your help would be invaluable and much appreciated. However, it would also be an ideal way to see the workings of the school “from the inside” and really become a part of the school community.

You don’t necessarily need a degree in the above subjects, but clearly some advanced expertise is a requirement. What is more important than this though is the willingness to help, be involved, and be patient and supportive. No teaching experience is necessary and all resources and brief training will be provided.

If you would like any more information, please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or email, or alternatively, arrange to just come in for an informal chat. We look forward to hearing from you.
