Enrichment

Allerton Grange arranges regular school trips and events to enrich every student's learning experience, enhance their learning and broaden their experiences, engage with the community and develop life skills.

We work closely with other schools in the local area, where our student ambassadors take part in projects and initiatives. 

This year’s events include:

  • A whole school rewards trip to Lightwater Valley
  • Outward Bound adventure trips to Windermere and Keighley (Duke of Edinburgh)
  • Year 7 visit to Leeds Beckett University to take part in the Science Circus
  • Languages trips to the German Christmas market
  • Year 8 students visit Westminster and the National Space Centre
  • Year 7 and Year 8 visits to the Magna Science Museum
  • Geography trips to Liverpool
  • Art and photography trips to look at architecture in London
  • Year 9 and Year 12 creative crafts trip to the Manchester Craft and Design Centre
  • Visits from guest speakers from Burberry, DAC Beechcroft LLB, BBC Bitesize, KPMG
  • DJ and composer workshops for students interested in Music
  • National Youth Summit meeting for Student Council members
  • Regular theatre trips locally and nationally
  • Visits to other secondary schools in Leeds for workshops and competitions
  • Higher Education fairs and visits to university events and lectures
  • Author visits and writing workshops
  • Road Safety Week of Action with West Yorkshire Police and local primary schools
  • Visit from Leeds Rhinos Rugby with girls’ skills workshop
  • Sixth Form trip to Paris
