PE

The first 5 weeks of the Year 7 programme involve a baseline assessment of all students. The format for this is a carousel of activities, each with a different skill focus. After this, all students are set into single gender ability groups.

After this unit, schemes of learning include the following activities. The order of activities will be different as they are done on rotation:

  • outdoor team games
  • indoor individual sports
  • gymnastics and health and fitness

In the summer term students will be taught athletics, striking and fielding games, and tennis.
