Enjoying social opportunities

Being in the sixth form is not just about work. You will have more freedom as a sixth former and more opportunities to become involved.

The sixth form committee arranges a lively social calendar and varied events throughout the year, from charity drives to organising the end of year ball.

In the summer term of Year 12, you will be offered the opportunity to take part in a residential trip. The destination is always decided by our students, and has included Paris, London and Edinburgh in the past. These trips are always in high demand and very successful; students have many happy memories of this residential for years to come.

You are also encouraged to get involved with other enrichment opportunities offered by the school:

• Sports events

• Charity fundraising

• Arts, drama and musical productions

• Educational trips

• Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme

• The Progression Module

• National Citizenship Service
