Unit 3: Crime scene to courtroom – in this unit the students will gain an understanding of the criminal justice system, from the moment a crime has been identified, to the verdict. Students will study the personnel involved in criminal investigations and the process of a trial. Students will also visit the law courts and there will be a range of guest speakers in school to talk about their roles in the Criminal Justice System.
Learners will complete their assessment for unit 3, this will be an eight-hour assessment of their learning in exam conditions.
