Live For Sport

Former Team GB badminton player, Jenny Wallwork, visited Allerton Grange School in the Spring term for a series of workshops arranged as part of our partnership with Sky Sports Academy’s Living For Sport programme. The workshops focused on a group of girls, and later, our Sports Ambassadors from each Year group.

Jenny led the teams to complete a range of activities designed around the programme’s 6 keys to success; mental toughness, hunger to achieve, people skills, sports and life knowledge, breaking barriers and planning for success.

On what has impressed her most from the day, Jenny had this to say, “Everyone has listened well and worked together during the activities today. They all showed a real hunger to achieve and it was great to see the effort they put in to completing the various tasks. The Sports Ambassadors have really stood out. They have developed a strong ability to engage with each other and really understand the reason behind what they are being asked to do.”

We look forward to welcoming Jenny and other Sky Sports Ambassadors back to Allerton Grange in the near future.
