Session 6: Aspire Workshops

In September 2017, Allerton Grange School introduced a new programme of bespoke tuition to provide students of all abilities additional support across a number of subjects.

The programme consists of a weekly one-hour** session over a 6-week period. The students selected to take part are being given the opportunity to work with a subject specialist in a small group, focusing on specific skills required to achieve the best possible outcome.

Students of all abilities can be selected for Session 6, it does not always mean they are falling behind. Our workshops are tailored towards students aiming for the highest grades.

Session 6 is currently taking place in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in the following curriculum areas:

  • Maths
  • English
  • Science
  • Geography
  • History
  • Religious Studies
  • Modern Foreign Languages

If your child is selected for one of these workshops, you will receive a letter stating the day, time, room, subject and teacher. It is compulsory for him/her to attend and the school’s Policy for Positive Discipline will still apply during these sessions.

If you would like any more information about Session 6, please contact Mr Hanson tomhanson@allertongrange.com

** in certain circumstances, it may involve two-hourly sessions a week.
