Allerton Grange Home School Agreement

Parents/Carers Commitments

I will:

Ensure that my child attends school every day, on time and properly equipped.
Inform the school if my child is unwell and/or unable to attend school.
Fully support the school’s policies and guidelines for behaviour and uniform.
Fully support my child in homework and other opportunities for home learning.
Check and sign my child’s planner on a weekly basis.
Give consent for my child to be photographed for internal purposes.
Give consent for my child to go on educational trips and visits.
Attend consultation evenings for my child.


Students Commitments

I will:

Attend school every day and on time.
Bring all the equipment I need every day.
Wear Allerton Grange school uniform.
Do all my classwork and homework to the best of my ability.
Follow the Allerton Grange school rules.
Maintain mutually respectful relationships with students and staff.
Represent Allerton Grange and its school values in a positive way at all times.


School Commitments

The school will:

Contact parents if there is a problem with attendance, punctuality, equipment, uniform or behaviour.
Regularly report on your child’s progress.
Recognise, reward and praise our students for their personal progress and achievements.
Provide an annual consultation evening where parents can discuss progress.
Keep parents informed about the school through regular newsletters, the website and notices about special events.
Provide a balanced curriculum supported by homework.
Encourage parental access to governors and staff as appropriate.
Offer parents the opportunity to enter into an Intervention Contract to support them in addressing attendance/behavioural issues.
Offer the support of the Safer School’s Police Officer in issues that may have previously required police involvement and can now be dealt with through a Restorative Justice approach.
Develop a partnership of governors, school, parent(s), and child all working together to provide the best education for your child.
