In Year 10, Hospitality and Catering students build on their KS3 knowledge by applying catering terms, skills and processes to produce their Year 10 controlled assessment. They develop skills in preparation for their final menu choice and then, under timed conditions, produce the menu for taste testing. This challenge prepares them for the final menu in Year 11. They follow the Eduqas GCSE course.

In Year 10, Product Design students will further develop their CAD/CAM, worldwide design knowledge, social, moral, spiritual and cultural knowledge, drawing manufacturing and problem-solving skills through three mini projects as we prepare them for their final GCSE project in Year 11. They follow the Eduqas GCSE course.

In Year10, Textiles students work to 4 briefs where they select and analyse different textile artists, respond to these artists by developing and stretching their knowledge and skills of materials, decorative techniques and processes. They will then produce final pieces in fashion, surface decoration, texture and print, as well as considering social, moral, spiritual and cultural issues. These experiments develop students’ resilience and prepare them for the final Year 11 practical exam. They follow the AQA GCSE course.

In Year 10, Graphics students work to 4 briefs where they select and analyse graphics artists and movements across history. They respond to these works by using a range of media, processes and CAD to produce final pieces. These experiments develop the students' resilience and problem-solving skills so that they are able to take on the challenge of their Year 11 practical exam. They follow the AQA GCSE course.
