Year 6 Transition
We are getting closer to the summer holidays, and before we know it, we will be starting a brand new school year in September.
Our Transition Team are working hard to keep in touch with Year 6 students and primary schools to help make the transition to high school as easy as possible, despite the unusual circumstances.
On Tuesday 8 September, our new Year 7 students will have the chance to settle in without any other year groups in school. Although they have been unable to attend their three transition days during Year 6, they will, at least, have the school building to themselves for their first full day at secondary school! We will help to ease them into life at Allerton Grange in our usual welcoming and supportive way. Full details of arrangements for the first day will be in our end-of-term letter.
We had very much been hoping to meet you before the summer but, unfortunately, Leeds City Council has advised that secondary schools should not hold transition days this year.
To help give you information you need and answer your questions, we have lots of information about starting at Allerton Grange on our Transition - New Year 7 Students page. Here you will find tours of the school building, copies of letters and frequently asked questions and presentations from key members of staff.
