Year 12 Frankenstein Masterclass
Year 12 English students were lucky enough to have a guest speaker visit school on 15 May to give a Gothic Masterclass on Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.
Amanda Blake Davis, a PhD researcher at the University of Sheffield led the session, introducing Frankenstein, Mary Shelley and discussing the Gothic genre.
Ms Napier said, “It was absolutely fascinating and has set our students up well for beginning their study of this hugely influential text.”
The students found the masterclass interesting and informative, and it gave them a taster of what studying English Literature is like at university.
