World of Music Concert

On Thursday 14 December, Allerton Grange School presented an outstanding music concert, bringing together performances from students across all key stages. The concert started with an opening performance from the Concert Band and ended with a brilliant finale from the Samba Band.  In between these superb performances, we saw our extracurricular groups; Junior Concert Band, B Naturals and Mike Drop, as well as the Mellotones (Rock Band) and B Flats, all playing at their best. Soloists and groups also excelled on the night with memorable performances from all on the line up.

This year, our Music Ambassadors helped to raise money during the interval by providing the Small Allerton Grange Cake Off auction table and other treats.  We raised £50 for St Gemma's Hospice, in memory of former staff member and beloved colleague and friend, Christine Lawes. An additional £170 was raised towards the Belgium trip, which takes place in July.  The interval was made even better by having Tabi Clarke, Year 10, provide us with her first DJ set. It was brilliantly put together and performed - well done Tabi!

We invite you to our forthcoming concerts and look forward to entertaining the masses with more musical delights. The Key Stage 4 Concert is on Thursday 1 March, followed by the Music Showcase on Thursday 15 March. The latter will see the welcome return of our primary school collaboration project, who will begin the concert.  Both events start at 7pm in the main hall; tickets are available from the finance office and can be purchased on the door.
