World Challenge Opportunity for Years 8 and 9

Students in years 8 and 9 have an exciting opportunity to take part in a World Challenge 10 day trek in Montenegro and Croatia, 17th – 26th July 2019*. This will be an incredible experience being part of a team, developing new skills together, such as resilience and adaptability, as well as experiencing different places and cultures and testing their courage and sense of adventure.

The trip will include trekking in Montenegro International Park, white water rafting, wild camping and a stay in Dubrovnik. There will also be a training expedition in the UK to help students prepare. Students will be responsible for putting together the expedition plans and budget.

The total cost is £1950 and students are encouraged to raise money to fund their trip. Support will be available to help students on their fundraising journey.

To secure a place on the expedition a deposit of £150 is needed by 31 October 2018, with the remainder due in June 2019.

For more details, please email Nabila Mughal, Co-Curriculum Lead Social Science and Teacher of Psychology, nabilamughal@allertongrange.com.

*Expedition dates are Wednesday 17th July until Friday 26th July 2019. The departure date may be subject to change and if so will be no more than three days later.
