Sports Week Success

Sports Week is always a high point on the Allerton Grange calendar and the 2018 event was no exception. Beginning with inter-primary sports on Monday, students from Talbot, Moor Allerton Hall, Highfield, Moortown and Wigton Moor battled it out in a series of races for the AGS cup. It was an extremely close competition, but Wigton Moor emerged triumphant at the end.

From Tuesday to Friday, Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 all competed in their own sports days. There were a range of track and field events, which enabled both star athletes and those who wanted to give it a go to take part. There was lots of heart-warming sportsmanship on display, with cheering and encouragement as everyone tried their best.

All of the sports days have been supported by our sports leaders, who have done a wonderful job as representatives of the school. Thanks must also go to the P.E. staff for organising the whole event; they have battled through wind, rain and blazing sunshine to give our students this opportunity.
