Sixth Form Building Extension Planning Proposal
Interserve Construction Ltd, working in partnership with Leeds City Council and Leeds Education Partnership (LEP), are in the process of preparing a planning application in relation to the redevelopment and expansion of Allerton Grange School.
This planning application relates to the expansion of the existing school by 2FE (a total of 300 additional pupils of which 84 are already accommodated on site). The proposed development seeks the construction of a new two storey school building with internal links to the existing Learning Centre block at Allerton Grange School. The existing Learning Centre is currently undergoing refurbishment and this, along with the new extension, will serve to provide a new sixth form hub, providing classrooms, staff space, a common room, a hub and changing facilities. The new block will also include additional changing space for sports (which will be used by both the school and third parties through community use). Internal modifications to the existing school and extension to the existing car park are also required to support the expansion.
