Science Club Visit Leeds University
Science club visit Leeds University
Shortly before the Easter break, Science Club were lucky enough to be invited to the festival of Science held at Leeds University.
Year 7 students tried their hands at a range of Science practicals including heart dissection, using algae to clean water, working out the pH value using red cabbage. They also got to make nylon. Time was spent learning about how antibiotics work, where our food comes from and the impact it has on the environment.
It was an exciting day, where pupils got the opportunity to use new scientific equipment and learn just how science fits in to everyday life.
