Road Safety Week 2018
From 19 - 23 November, groups of students will be involved in Road Safety Week, getting out and about and helping drivers in our local community think about the speed they travel at and how they can be safer on the road.
Students will be working with PC Brown, use the SID (Speed Indication Device), speed camera and complete traffic surveys on streets close to school. They will also be teaming up with Talbot Primary School and Moor Allerton Hall Primary School during the week.
We are pleased to be part of this initiative to promote life-saving messages, supporting Brake, the road safety charity that works to prevent road death and injury, make communities and streets safer and supports victims of road accidents. Brake coordinates Road Safety Week in the UK which is the country’s biggest road safety event.
Why not try the Brake Stopping Distance Calculator Game - do you know how long it takes a car to stop when travelling at different speeds? Are you aware of the distractions around you when you’re driving?
