Pre-public Exams Results Evening
The Year 11 PPE Results Evening saw our students experience what it would be like to collect their results at the end of their GCSEs. Families came to support their children as they picked up their envelope and discovered the results of their hard work and revision in the recent Pre-Public Exams (PPE). Each student created an action plan, with support from staff and their parents, which the year team have copies of and will regularly check to make sure that the student is sticking to it.
'I know that I haven't worked hard enough so far and this has made it clear what I need to do to get better'.
'I am really pleased with my results. I know that I am on the right track now and have more confidence in my revision'.
'I was really stressed out by the mock exams and even more stressed when it came to picking up the results. It was good to have teachers there to help me with my action plan'.
'I think this has been a wake up call for my son - he knows he has to knuckle down now'.
'It's been great to have the time to chat with a member of staff about what support is in place and what I can do to support my daughter better'.
'I appreciated the chance to help my child through this and then work out how to get them through the next stage in this important year'.
'It's great to have that chance to support a student outside of usual lesson times and show them that there is a way forward, no matter what their results were'.
'It's been good to have the chance to speak to students and their parents in a lesson formal setting and work together to take next steps'.
