Exciting Future for Allerton Grange Sixth Form
We’re excited to announce that Allerton Grange Sixth Form will be moving to the former NE City Learning Centre (CLC) building, located in the grounds of Allerton Grange School.
To support the move, a £4.8 million redevelopment project will be undertaken within the school grounds, which proposes to include the remodelling and refurbishment of the former CLC building.
Allerton Grange Sixth Form students will benefit from a new on-site Sixth Form centre, offering a range of facilities including social spaces, classrooms, workspaces and computer suites.
There are 68 sixth form providers across Leeds. Allerton Grange is currently ranked 1st for Applied Level 3 subjects and 9th for A level progress.
Our Sixth Form is on the smaller side, with 240 students, offering a nurturing environment with dedicated teachers to help Post 16 learners to reach their full potential.
Whether students choose to study A levels or a vocational course, they benefit from smaller class sizes, high quality teaching, a supportive environment with a range of enrichment opportunities and careers guidance. The move to a Sixth Form Centre will also give students greater independence, in their own space, separate to the rest of the school.
Ms Braim, Head of Sixth Form said: “I am immensely proud of our students’ achievements. I’m looking forward to our Sixth Formers benefiting from the additional opportunities the new facilities will provide.”
We can’t wait to welcome our Sixth Formers back to school, along with new starters in September!
