Expansion of Allerton Grange School
Following the consultation to permanently expand Allerton Grange School from 240 places in Year 7 to 300 from September 2021, On 12 February 2020, Leeds City Council’s Executive Board meeting approved the publication of a Statutory Notice in relation to the proposal.
A Statutory Notice is a legal process set up by the Department for Education that needs to be followed before any school expansions and which is marked by a 4 week formal consultation period.
The formal consultation period ran from 30 March 2020 to 4 pm on 27 April 2020.
The statutory notice period has now ended. The Executive Board is expected to make a final decision on the proposal in June and following that decision, a further update will be posted here.
