Composing with King No-One
Emerging UK band, King No-One, came in to deliver a composition workshop to students studying music in Years 9, 10 and 11.
The band consists of lead singer, pianist and guitarist Zach; pianist, vocalist and guitarist Joe; and James on the drums and vocals. The band spoke about their career so far, selling out venues, their band as a movement and discussed how they go about writing their songs. They performed 'Two Islands' and their new hit 'Toxic Love'.
Our students had prepared musical ideas before the workshop and the band worked with the students' composition during the session.
Comments from our students –
