Celebrating GCSE Success
Allerton Grange School students were celebrating exam success on Thursday 22 August. Our amazing students have smashed all previous GCSE records and results have improved for the fourth year in a row, with the vast majority of subjects performing even more strongly than in 2018.
This year we were delighted to see 46 top grades of 8s and 9s, a testament to the hard work of students and staff.
A number of students achieved outstanding results across the board including Bethany who achieved 8 grade 9s and 2 grade 8s, James with 3 grade 9s and 5 grade 8s and Ellen with 5 grade 9s and 3 grade 8s.
Dylan was celebrating. He said: “I’m shocked and pleased! I did better than I expected to do.”
Headteacher Mr Roper said: “I am impressed that for the fourth year in a row we have seen an improvement in our students’ achievements in GCSE exams. I am proud of every one of the students who have shown great commitment to reach their full potential, supported by our staff. “
Outcomes were particularly good in Maths, English Literature, English Language, History, Geography, Languages, Music, Drama and GCSE PE. Following a huge improvement last year, Science have also maintained the strong standard we saw in last year's results.
Everyone at Allerton Grange is very proud of all our students and we wish them well with their future studies. We look forward to welcoming students back to continue their studies in our Sixth Form, which is rated Good by Ofsted.
Enrolment for Sixth Form is on Monday 2 September. Students must bring along a copy of their exam results, residency information if they are not a British citizen and details of parental contacts, including mobile numbers and email addresses.
