Blood Brothers

Drama has always been a real strength at Allerton Grange; students of all ages are given opportunities to showcase their talents. What fewer people realise is that students also co-direct some of our wonderful productions.

Ana Costa, Year 12, was in the student director’s seat for our recent production of ‘Blood Brothers’, and despite unexpectedly heavy snow derailing rehearsals in the days before the performance, it was a massive success.

Ana said: “The actors surpassed my expectations for the play and performed extremely well, making sure that the audience were engaged and laughed at the humour. Although there were lots of nerves because it was some students’ first performance, that didn’t show once they were on the stage.

“The show was great and everyone loved it. I enjoyed working with this cast and hope they continue on following their dreams and hopefully pursuing drama in the future.”
