A Level Results 2020
Congratulations to the many students who have secured grades this morning which are an accurate recognition of how hard they have worked over the past two years. We have students progressing to university courses at the University of Leeds, University of Birmingham, University of Bristol, University of Wales Lampeter, Aberystwyth University, Newcastle University, University of Durham, University of Central Lancashire, University of York and the University of Law.
Unfortunately some students have not been awarded the grade they deserve and staff are working alongside students and families to rectify this through the appeals process.
This year has been unusual in many ways due to COVID-19, with lockdown and online learning changing the way Year 13s completed their secondary education. Despite the difficult circumstances, Allerton Grange School students have continued to impress us with their resilience, commitment to their studies and positive attitudes.
Mrs Braim, Head of Sixth Form said “We are delighted with the results that our students have attained this year. This has been a year like no other and we are so proud of their achievements they have made. They now leave us embark on the next stage of their life, the vast majority on to university courses both locally and nationally, and wish them every success!”
Headteacher, Mike Roper, said: “We are so proud of what this year group have achieved in what has been a very unsettling and worrying time for them. It was wonderful to see students this morning celebrating their results and making plans to attend university. We wish every one of them well on their next adventure. We will continue to support students who have not been awarded the grade they deserve.”
