A Level English Language Trip
On Wednesday 13 March, a group of English Language A Level students travelled to Manchester with Ms Taylor to attend a Sovereign Education Sixth Form Lecture Day on English Language.
The two morning sessions were on Language Diversity – How Language Represents Different Groups and Language Discourses with Dan Clayton.
Marcello Giovanelli delivered the two afternoon sessions on Text Analysis and Text Types, and Language Diversity – How Different Groups Use Language.
Ms Taylor said: “It was an excellent opportunity for our A level students to experience a series of entertaining and informative presentations on key areas of linguistics, ranging from textual analysis and representation to language and diversity. We had a great day!”
The Sixth-formers had an information-packed day and reflected on their experience:
