Professor Lewis Dartnell Public Lecture

Allerton Grange School is delighted to host a guest lecture by Professor Lewis Dartnell, author of the Sunday Time Bestseller 'ORIGINS - How the Earth Made Us'

Professor Lewis Dartnell will guide us through an astonishing journey into our planet’s past to tell the ultimate origin story. Blending science and history, Origins reveals the Earth’s awesome impact on the shape of human civilisations – and helps us to see the challenges and opportunities of the future.

Lewis Dartnell is an astrobiology researcher and professor at the University of Westminster. He has won several awards for his science writing, and contributes to the Guardian, The Times and New Scientist.

This lecture is an opportunity for Allerton Grange School parents to experience the learning journey their child is undertaking, delivered by an expert and best-selling author. Although students are welcome to attend, if accompanied by an adult, this event is tailored towards an adult audience and Year 7 and Year 8 students will have received an age appropriate lecture during the school day.

The lecture is open to all, not just Allerton Grange School parents. This is an excellent CPD opportunity for teachers of Humanities and Science across all year groups.

Please note everyone attending will require a ticket as spaces are limited in the hall.
